Chyka Keebaugh

Stylish and elegant, Chyka Keebaugh is editor-in-chief of the online weekly publication chyka.com, a successful businesswoman and is a star of The Real Housewives of Melbourne, with series three now on Foxtel.

Chyka is the co-founder and owner of The Big Group, one of Australia’s largest privately owned catering and special event companies with over 600 employees. Chyka’s creative vision also steers two other businesses, The Design Depot and Capital Kitchen at Chadstone – The Fashion Capital and Malvern Central.

In January 2015 Chyka launched her new homemaking and lifestyle online magazine chyka.com, an aspirational destination for the modern and contemporary homemaker where Chyka shares handy tips and advice on all the things home, outdoor and food.

Chyka has a reputation for being one of the most creative and innovative event stylists in Australia, and now she travels frequently to the Middle East and South America for work. Her ideas and talent have featured in numerous design, fashion and interior magazines over the years. She was a regular guest on Good Morning Australia (Network TEN) for several years.

Before meeting her husband, Bruce and establishing The Big Group, Chyka started her career as a cadet with the iconic Australia Hotel. Here she learnt all aspects of the hospitality industry. With a burning desire to travel and see the world Chyka embarked on a journey which saw her live in London and study at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, which is known as being a worldwide leader in gastronomy, hospitality and management.

Having excelled at her studies she went on to satisfy her love affair with flowers and attended the Constance Spry Floristry School. After completing her training, Chyka worked for Laura Ashley where she developed a passion for textiles and design.On her return to Australia, Chyka worked as a senior steward for Peter Rowland Catering. It was here that she met her husband to be, Bruce Keebaugh, and they have now been married for 22 years.

Chyka is the proud mother of B.J. (18-years-old) and Francesca (20-years-old) and has two dogs named Ollie and Milo.
